Cape Tribulation Resort & Spa - Jungle Surfing

Glide through the forest

Rainforest Platform
Jungle Surfing Canopy Tours is a must-do, new and exciting way to view the World Heritage Listed Rainforest in Cape Tribulation.
This unique tour allows eco-tourists the chance to glide through the forest on steel cables high above the ground. Once this way of viewing the forest was only available to scientists, but now this experience is open for the public to enjoy.
The Jungle Surfing Canopy Tours operate within a large and private scientific nature reserve on Mount Walsh at Cape Tribulation. It is run by a group of biological scientists who have been providing scientists guided day and night walks through the old growth forest on the reserve for six years.
Canopy surfing takes place up in the treetops, with five platforms linked by steel flying fox runs. The longest span is over 75m and the platforms vary in height from 2.5 - 19.5m above the ground. Each participant is attached by full body harness to the flying fox cables. At the highest point you fly over 22m above Mason Creek, and the flight choice is yours - slow, fast or upside-down.
Jungle Adventures run Jungle Canopy Surfing Tours daily. This price includes transport to the location.
Age Restriction: Children 3 years and older can do the Jungle Surfing. Harness available to suit kids aged 3 up to adults weighing 120kg.
