Cape Tribulation Exotic Fruit farm grows 100 different species of tropical fruit on over 2000 fruit trees from the Amazon, South East Asia, and the Caribbean. The farm's owners have run fruit tastings since 1996, and offer a wealth of knowledge and an unparalleled variety of fruit on their tours. You'll be amazed at the abundance of delicious fruits cultivated.

At least 10 different exotic fruits in any season are available for you to taste, from the weird to the wonderful. Exotic tropical fruit comes in all shapes and sizes - some are hairy, others have lumps and bumps or sharp spikes. Often the most unusual fruit turns out to be the most delicious. Tempt your taste buds with new and unusual flavours, such as the chocolate pudding fruit, or fruit that tastes like lemon meringue pie or creme caramel.

The tasting will be followed by a fascinating walk through the orchard to see the fruits where they grow. You'll learn how to prepare the fruits - what parts to eat and how to eat them. Though some of these fruits are starting to appear in markets, many will never make it to the capital cities as they're too fragile for transport. Here's what may be the only opportunity to sample these - where they are grown, fresh from the tree.

Tour Departures

Exotic Fruit Tasting commences at 2:00pm daily at the Fruit Farm and runs for one and a half hours. Guests may self drive or book complimentary transfers for daily departures at 1:45pm from Cape Tribulation Resort & Spa.
